🌿 Euphorbia Polyacantha Care Guide

Euphorbia polyacantha is a spiny, architectural succulent with a wonderfully sculptural shape. It produces upright, ribbed stems covered in clusters of small spines, giving it a wonderfully rugged character without needing masses of space.

Like many Euphorbias, it appreciates plenty of sunshine and a much lighter touch with watering than your leafy houseplants. Let it dry properly between drinks and it will be much happier for it.

☀️ Light

• Give it as much bright light as you can provide.
• A sunny windowsill is ideal, particularly with several hours of direct sunshine.
• A south or west-facing window can work very well indoors.
• If moving it from lower light into strong sunshine, introduce it gradually to avoid scorching.
• Good light helps maintain compact, sturdy growth.

💧 Water

• Allow the soil to dry out thoroughly before watering again.
• When you do water, give it a proper drink and allow excess water to drain freely.
• During spring and summer, check the soil regularly, but don’t water simply because the calendar says so.
• In autumn and winter, reduce watering considerably as growth slows.

• There’s no need to mist this plant.
