🌿 Alocasia Satun Stardust Care Guide

Alocasia Satun Stardust is one of those plants that quietly stops you in your tracks. Its striking silvery foliage is dusted with a soft metallic sheen, while the dark, defined veins give each leaf incredible depth and character. As each new leaf unfurls, you’ll notice subtle differences in pattern and colour, making it a plant that’s always worth a second look.

Like many Alocasias, it appreciates a little consistency, but once it’s settled into the right spot, it rewards you with steady growth and increasingly impressive foliage.

ā˜€ļø Light

  • Prefers plenty of bright, filtered light.
  • A little gentle morning sunshine is welcome, but avoid strong afternoon rays that may scorch the leaves.
  • Rotate the pot every few weeks to encourage balanced growth.

šŸ’§ Water

  • Water when the top couple of centimetres of soil begin to dry.
  • Keep the soil lightly moist without allowing it to become soggy.
  • Reduce watering during the cooler months when growth naturally slows.

šŸŒ«ļø Humidity

  • Enjoys higher humidity and will produce its best foliage in a humid environment.
  • Aim for around 60% humidity or above if possible.
  • Keep away from radiators, air conditioning and cold draughts.

šŸ½ļø Feeding

  • Feed every two to four weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid houseplant fertiliser.
  • Pause feeding through autumn and winter when growth slows.
  • Always apply fertiliser to damp soil to help protect the roots.

🌱 Quick Tips

  • Use a chunky, free-draining aroid mix to keep the roots healthy.
  • A warm, stable environment encourages the best growth.
  • Wipe the leaves occasionally to remove dust and keep their silvery finish looking its best.
  • Don’t panic if an older leaf fades as a new one emerges—this is completely normal for many Alocasias.
