🌿 Aglaonema Flamingo Care Guide

Aglaonema Flamingo brings a proper splash of colour to the collection, with vibrant pink tones running through its foliage alongside green. It has the classic full, leafy growth associated with Aglaonema, making it a lovely choice when you want something with plenty of personality without needing a complicated routine.

☀️ Light

  • Give it bright, filtered light to support strong growth and vibrant colouring.
  • Gentle morning or evening sunshine is usually fine, but avoid strong midday and afternoon rays.
  • It can tolerate a slightly shadier position, although growth may be slower and the colour can be less pronounced.
  • Rotate the plant occasionally so all sides receive a good share of the light.

💧 Water

  • Allow the top few centimetres of soil to dry before watering again.
  • Water thoroughly, then allow excess water to drain away.
  • Avoid keeping the soil constantly saturated, as Aglaonemas can suffer when their roots remain too wet.
  • Reduce watering during the cooler months when growth slows.
  • Check the soil before watering rather than relying on a fixed schedule.

🌫️ Humidity

  • Enjoys moderate to higher household humidity.
  • Keep it away from very dry heat sources such as radiators.
  • Good airflow around the foliage is helpful, particularly when humidity is increased.
  • There is no need to keep the leaves permanently damp.

🍽️ Feeding

  • Feed during spring and summer while the plant is actively producing new growth.
  • Use a balanced houseplant fertiliser at a diluted strength.
  • A feed every few weeks is generally sufficient.
  • Reduce or pause feeding during winter when growth naturally slows.

🌱 Quick Tips

  • Use a well-draining houseplant mix.
  • Keep it somewhere warm and away from cold draughts.
  • Wipe the leaves gently from time to time to remove dust and let you appreciate all that pink properly.
  • Don’t make several environmental changes at once if the plant has recently arrived.
  • Give it time to settle before judging its growth.

💡 Big Plant Lad Wisdom

Aglaonema Flamingo clearly didn’t get the memo about keeping things subtle. The pink foliage walks into the room first, and frankly, we’re quite happy to let it. 🌿✨
