🌿 Anthurium warocqueanum Care Guide
Warocqueanum, famously known as the Queen Anthurium, is all about pure rainforest elegance. Its long, velvety leaves can grow to extraordinary lengths, adorned with striking silver veins that create one of the most dramatic foliage displays in the plant world. Demanding but incredibly rewarding, this is a true collector's masterpiece. 🌿✨
☀️ Light
- Thrives in bright, indirect light
- Medium light is tolerated, but growth slows significantly
- Avoid direct sun — velvet foliage can scorch easily
- Bright filtered light encourages larger, healthier leaves
💧 Water
- Keep lightly moist, but never soggy
- Allow the top layer of the substrate to dry slightly between waterings
- Use a chunky, airy Anthurium mix (bark, perlite, coco coir and sphagnum moss)
- Excellent drainage is essential to prevent root problems
🌫️ Humidity
- Prefers very high humidity (70–90%)
- Consistent humidity is key to preventing leaf damage
- Good airflow is just as important as humidity
- Warm, stable temperatures help produce the best foliage
🍽️ Feeding
- Feed every 4–6 weeks during active growth
- Use a balanced diluted liquid fertiliser
- Reduce feeding during cooler months when growth slows
🌱 Quick Tips
- Avoid moving the plant frequently—Warocqueanum prefers stability
- New leaves are delicate and should not be handled while unfurling
- Filtered or rainwater is beneficial if your tap water is hard
- Ideal for cabinets, grow tents, or naturally humid rooms
💡 Big Plant Lad Wisdom
